According to Punch, Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Sokoto, has approved the payment of half salary as a Ramadan gift to all civil servants, including primary school teachers, local government staff, and pensioners in the state. This gesture aims to ensure that Muslims in the state can comfortably observe the Ramadan fast this year.

 

 

In a statement released by his media aide, Abubakar Bawa, the governor emphasized the importance of assisting workers to observe Ramadan with ease and urged the Muslim ummah to pray for Allah’s intervention in the numerous challenges facing Nigeria.

 

 

Governor Aliyu also called on traders and wealthy individuals in the state to show love and mercy to the less privileged during this holy month, emphasizing the importance of earning Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.

 

 

The governor expressed gratitude to the people of Sokoto State for their continued support and prayers, attributing their contributions to the success achieved by his administration.
